I began practicing law in Tarboro, North Carolina in 1995. I deal with cases in the areas of Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, and Medical Malpractice.
I have enjoyed participating in North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers. I have been fortunate to hold different positions in within the Academy. I have been the Education Chair for the Disability Advocacy Section. I have been the Vice-Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section. I also was the Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section. I am currently serving on the Academy’s Board of Governors. The Academy is a wonderful way of donating my time to help fellow practitioners and the citizens of North Carolina through teaching and advocating positive changes in the law.
I am also a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. I have been involved with their Social Security Disability Law Section as a newsletter editor and later as a Chair of the Section. My involvement with ATLA has provided the opportunity to speak on Social Security Disability law in San Francisco; California; Chicago; Illinois; Atlanta; Georgia; and Boston, Massachusetts. I have enjoyed the opportunity to travel and speak on the subject of Social Security. It has also given me the opportunity to meet other Social Security attorneys from across the country.
I am fortunate to be able to bring both of my dogs to work with me most days. Annabelle and s look forward to going to work everyday.
