Jimmie R. Keel

I love the practice of law, the outdoors, my family & pets - but not necessarily in that order. I am particularly interested in the preservation of our outdoor resources. As a proud member of the Tarboro Association of Salt Water Sportsmen, Ducks Unlimited, the Pamlico-Tar River Foundation, and many similar organizations, I believe that the natural resources that North Carolina has to offer exceeds that of any other state. We have excellent wildlife management - the restoration of the wild turkey is an outstanding example. I would like to see a resolution to the conflict between commercial fishermen and recreational fishermen in a manner that preserves the historical and economic best interests of both sides.

I have been married for 20+ years to the most wonderful lady in the world. We have two children in college, four dogs, three cats, and a mother-in-law...
