Jimmie
R. Keel
Mr. Keel was born on January 19, 1952, in Tarboro,
North Carolina. He graduated from the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1974 with honors in
Economics. He graduated from East Carolina University
in 1977 with a Masters in Business Administration and
from Wake Forest University in 1978 with a Juris
Doctor degree.
Mr. Keel began the private practice of Law as a
solo practitioner in 1978 in his home town of Tarboro,
North Carolina, the county seat of Edgecombe County.
After practicing with several distinguished members of
the local bar for several years, he again became a
solo practitioner in 1983. He slowly narrowed his
practice to civil litigation and then to medical-legal
related matters. The firm's geographic practice area
now extends throughout North Carolina.
Mr. Keel is a member of the North Carolina Academy
of Trial Lawyers and the Association of Trial Lawyers
of America.
He has represented clients before all trial and
appellate divisions of the state courts as well as the
Industrial Commission, Federal Courts and the Social
Security Administration. His trial experience ranges
from first degree murder to complex medical
malpractice. He now concentrates his practice in the
area of medical-legal related matters.
